Some news.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
SINGAPORE : Motorists headed to Malaysia on Friday had a slight respite from the traffic jams at the checkpoints resulting from the hunt for Jemaah Islamiyah fugitive Mas Selamat Kastari. In the morning, there were long lines of cars moving at a snail's pace at Woodlands Checkpoint.
But by noon, the queues had cleared and motorists were happy - especially truck drivers who made it through security checks at Woodlands, ahead of schedule. The authorities said most people had headed to Malaysia on Thursday ahead of the Good Friday holiday. However, some people - still fearing the jams - decided to walk across the Causeway instead.
Over at Tuas Checkpoint, traffic was also smooth-flowing. - CNA/ms
SMRT seeking lesser fines from Land Transport Authority (LTA) ;pleading.
SMRT has seeked draconism against Singapore's LTA for slapping them with the fine ( $387,167) (see previous post for more info). SMRT spokeswoman claimed that SMRT has did more than enough to help train their people not to commit this fault again after that MRT cocked up that caused a 7hour jam between Tanah Merah and Pasir Ris. Althought they sound pitiful and really claimed that they have did enough for the recovery by sending 200++ buses, some commuters beg to differ, as some said that they "failed their stigma considerably". Commuters claim that they have not been informed about this until they're like 2 or 300metres away from the bus stop. LTA is still considering at this moment.
Thoughts:
based on the first article, i feel that its good, but things shouldnt get any better till MSK gets caught. In fact, that could be the very first LURE the police are using to get MSK to the causeway and nab him. why i say could be? Cause on previous newsletters, they mentioned that Singapore's sercuity is very tight (like your pants) right now, and they expect MSK to make a run (Keyword : EXPECT) when the sercuity is low. This might be a break, but i think its just plain stupid. trying to fish out MSK with a worm? He likes caterpillars. =)
On the second article, i think LTA has already given quite alot, and i do mean alot, of leeways to the SMRT. Did they freaking know that the fine can actually be up to 1millon Sing dollars just for slowing us commuters down? Damn i think the fine is already quite low. Just watch yourselves, it might provoke them. Who knows....
OFT.
4 things.
1st. Do not rush me. I cant do things well when i'm being rushed. Meeting deadlines is another thing. BUT DO NOT RUSH ME IN WORK WHEN YOU ALREADY SET A DEADLINE FOR ME.
damn those who dont know how to read english. Too powderful. LOL. I will do the things that are required of me b4 deadline. Hell, it might be ON the deadline, but at least i did it right?
2nd. I just found out something. It might be useless lead, but i think its better than nothing. At least i'm not hanging by the thread now. I'm safely on the boat without strings attached. Oh, i havent ask for help btw yet. my help lines are still open... 50/50, make a call, ask the audience? =)
3rd. Semi-Pro is a good show. Or least thats what my sister claims to be.
4th. Karma? i believe in it. Something good will happen to me, But i dont know when. Hopefully soon.
=) loves
